SENIORS

Golden Age Club

This energetic group of seniors is open to anyone over 55. they meet each Tuesday at 1pm at the Steele AmVets for either a rousing game of cards or Bingo. Lunch is served.

Steele Active Seniors Clarilyn Riedinger 475-2444
This fun loving group of seniors meets the 1st Monday of the month at the Steele Senior Center for a 5:30pm potluck. Aerobic exerises are held each morning at 8:30am and card playing takes place each Thursday night.

YOUTH


Community Children's Theatre Lisa Symens 475-2408
A community children's theatre is held each summer in Steele and is open to children entering the 1st grade to children entering the 9th grade.

Community Vacation Bible School 475-2613
Each year the churches of Steele join together for a community Vacation Bible School. Open to all youth ages 4 through the 6th grade are invited to attend.

Kingdom Kids Computer Club Pastor Perry Schnabel 475-2631
This non-denominational group offers computer training to 6th graders in Kidder County. Students take part in a year long program which includes community service and spiritual lessons. At the end of the program, each student takes home the computer they used throughout the year. Program is free and open to applications in May each year.

World’s Largest Sandhill Crane Foundation

This group manages the World's Largest Sandhill Crane site and the small park associated with it. The organization also promotes the Steele Birding Drives and nature-based tourism in the area. They meet the 3rd Wednesday of each month in the Steele City Coordinator's office at 9am.
